Privacy Policy

1. Overview

EmailSections ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension developed by Jorge Mauricio Inostroza Fernández. It transforms plain text markers in emails into interactive collapsible sections within Gmail and Outlook Web.

This Privacy Policy explains how the Extension handles information when installed and used.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

EmailSections does not collect, store, transmit, or share any of the following:

• Email content, subject lines, or attachments
• Email addresses or contact information
• Personal identity information
• Browsing history or usage patterns
• Cookies or tracking identifiers
• Keystrokes or form inputs
• Any data from your Gmail or Outlook account

3. How the Extension Works

The Extension operates entirely client-side (locally in your browser):

• It reads the visible DOM (HTML) of emails already rendered in your browser tab
• It detects text markers (── Title ── ·color·) and transforms them into collapsible UI components
• All processing happens in memory, within your browser tab
• No data leaves your device
• The Extension makes no network requests to external servers

4. Browser Permissions

The Extension requests the following permissions:

• Host access to mail.google.com — to read and modify the Gmail interface to render collapsible sections
• Host access to outlook.live.com / outlook.office.com — same purpose for Outlook Web
• contextMenus — to add a "Copy section" option to the right-click menu

These permissions are used exclusively to render collapsible sections within the email interface. They are not used to read, store, or transmit any email data.

5. Third-Party Services

EmailSections does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data processing services.

The Extension does not load any external scripts, fonts, or resources at runtime. All assets are bundled locally within the extension package.

6. Signature Badge

The EmailSections signature badge (included in email signatures) is a static HTML element. It contains a link to emailsections.angelus806.com.ar. Clicking this link is subject to standard web server access logs (IP address, timestamp), which are not processed or stored beyond standard server operation.

The badge does not execute any code, set cookies, or track recipients.

7. Changes to This Policy

If the Extension's data practices change in a future version, this Privacy Policy will be updated with a new "Last updated" date. Significant changes will be noted in the extension's changelog.
